Indian-origin Jayswal family getting ready for Everest basecamp trek

Indian-origin entrepreneurs Vikash and Madhurita Jayaswal, along with their children Vivaan and Tarannum, are set to embark on a historic Everest Base Camp Trek on November 1, 2023, to raise funds for their school, Galaxy Gurukul in Madhyagram, Kolkata. The Jayaswal family’s inspiring journey from humble beginnings to successful Chartered Accountants has led them to create the Galaxy of Homes company, which employs over 80 people in both India and the UK.

Their motivation for supporting education is clear: they believe that nothing beats education in making a long-term difference in society. Galaxy Gurukul, dedicated to underprivileged children, is currently home to almost a hundred students, many of whom are first-generation learners. The school aims to provide an opportunity for these children who might otherwise be vulnerable to a life of petty crimes.
